The Effectiveness of Couple Therapy
Our study shows improvments in relationships and mental health

BACP’s magazine looks at our clinical and training model and explores what couple work is like

Leader of our psychodynamic training, Catriona Wrottesley has written a feature in Therapy Today, the official magazine of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

The piece, entitled ‘Three in the Room’, explores the essential difference between couple counselling and psychotherapy and individual work. It features an illustrative case study and material from Tavistock Relationships' staff. You can read the piece as PDF below:

Tavistock Relationships now offers an MA training in psychodynamic couple therapy that includes working with individuals from a relationship perspective, because we are aware that this capacity to hold a ‘couple state of mind’ is also important for those working with individuals. Already qualified therapists can learn more about our training here.

For those without any previous training we offer an introductory course.
