A joint manifesto, published the by Family Room coalition of charities, will be launched on Tuesday 10 February 2015 at a parliamentary reception co-hosted by Andrew Stephenson MP, Annette Brooke MP, and Alex Cunningham MP.

TCCR is one of the 18 leading not for profit organisations which make up the Family Room coalition, which supports millions of families each year and develops family policy across the UK.

In the run up to the General Election, members of the Family Room have come together to create a joint manifesto covering a range of areas closely connected to family and childcare policy. The manifesto is calling on any incoming Government to develop a cross-departmental Family Strategy to improve family income, stability and wellbeing.

During the reception, attendees will hear from three keynote speakers: Sam Gyimah MP, minister for childcare, Alison McGovern MP, shadow minister for children and Families, and Dr Maggie Atkinson, the Children's Commissioner for England.

Speaking before the launch, Stephen Dunmore, Chief Executive of the Family and Childcare Trust said:

"Enabling families to thrive is fundamental to the economic and social health of the UK, and through our joint manifesto, the Family Room is calling on the next Government to put families at the heart of all future policies.

"I am delighted this leading group of charities have come together to raise these important issues at Parliament, and we look forward to working with all political parties to make sure that an effective and long term family strategy is implemented and that all families can fulfil their potential."
